Growing Up Agrarian

We are four Christian, homechurched, homeschooled, homesteading, agrarian children growing up in Central Texas on a Ranch. We are Tracy,(15) Jennifer,(10) Robert,(9) and Sarah(5) Bunker. We also have one more brother, Thomas Shepard Bunker, who is in the courts of glory. We like to read books, raise animals, and play on the land. Tracy will be writing about the stuff we do. We hope you enjoy our Adventures!

Hello Again, Y'all,
What a fine, cool morning it is here. I like overcast days every once in a while.

Well, I tried to catch the smart old coon that has been down at the hogpen eating the corn. But he snapped the trap and went on about his buiness. Dumb coon's to smart for me. But tonight I am going to try a leg catch trap. They are harder to snap without getting caught. Maybe I will get him tonight.

I made a full breakfast this morning. I made a deal with Mom last night that if she cleared the table and washed the dishes, (my usual chores) I would get up early and make eggs, bacon, potatoes, tortillas, and coffee. And I did. I had it ready at seven sharp. I was pretty relieved that I didn't burn or undercook anything, which I usually do. And the coffee came out fine. My coffee has been likened unto mud many times, because I leave it on for too long. Rumor has it that my coffee at times can crawl out of the cup and bite you. But I have worked on it, and it has gotten better, I think.

Here is a picture of my Bessie. See the question mark on her head? I think that is hilarious. She looks like the Riddler. Or a cow with a oddly shaped white mark on her head. ;)

Well, I have to go prepare for the rain we are supposed to get today, so

Until Next Time,
Tracy Bunker

Hi, my name is Kristopher and I was wondering if you would mind if I used your cow picture for a presentation I am doing regarding a game my group is programming for my class. I'd like to use it for my final slide titled "Questions". =D
