Growing Up Agrarian

We are four Christian, homechurched, homeschooled, homesteading, agrarian children growing up in Central Texas on a Ranch. We are Tracy,(15) Jennifer,(10) Robert,(9) and Sarah(5) Bunker. We also have one more brother, Thomas Shepard Bunker, who is in the courts of glory. We like to read books, raise animals, and play on the land. Tracy will be writing about the stuff we do. We hope you enjoy our Adventures!

Hot, hot, hot!

Today we are just trying to staying cool! It was 105 degrees yesterday! We have been sleeping on the deck just to get the breeze. It was 80 degrees this morning, which was a nice break. We have been dipping Sugar in the cow tank to keep her cool. She loves licking a ice cube until it is gone. Smart dog. We lost Jose' the Californian male to heatstroke yesterday. He was a big rabbit and just not built for this kind of weather.

We have been picking up a lot of mesquite pods. A LOT of mesquite pods, people. Buckets of these things. But it is all worth it when you sit down with a glass of delicious tea.Tea made only of the Lord's provision. Water from the sky, pods from the trees right here on the land. Praise the Lord for his grace.

If you have a minuite, we would suggest you run over to mom's blog, " A Process Diven Wife" and catch dad doing his "Double Ringer Dance", a video mom posted in response to the silly photo of her on dad's blog. We are not picking sides in the goofy picture war, but we are enjoying the show.
Oh yeah, and thank you to the Ante Agrarians for nominating us for the Best Blog Award.
Until Next Time,
The Bunker Children
