Rabbits and Chickens
Today we had another nice fellowship at the Ante's house, and what a wonderful dinner it was! We had brisket, noodles, potatoes, salad, wheat bread, broccoli, corn, cupcakes, watermelon and quartered donuts ( a rare thing for us). We had a nice singing and have added a new song : I'd Rather Have Jesus. We love to sing!
Tracy has 2 new rabbits, a Black Lop female named Guinness, and a new male Californian named San Clemente'. They are doing well, and we are expecting 2 more litters out of Santa Monica, due April 8th and Santa Rosa, due April 1st, Santa Rosa is my hand-raised female ( she was out of the very first litter we had). We now are up to 15 rabbits, 9 of which are due to be sold at the Buffalo Cookoff in Santa Anna in May.
We have about 50 chicks we are raising for next year's supply of meat and eggs. We have a mixture of many breeds and are keeping them warm with kerosene lanterns. They are doing well and seem to never stop chirping.
Well we better get to bed as it is 9;00 on the dot.
