Today we had a filling breakfast of potatoes, eggs, tortillas, and bacon. Yesterday Daddy, Mihai, and Robert worked with our longhorn calf Pita. Daddy has Pita very well trained to his voice commands. Daddy had Pita on a lead, while Mihai slowly put Robert on Pita's back, but Mihai still held on to Robert just in case. Daddy told Pita to "get up", and she tried to run, but Dad held on to her. Mihai would pull Robert off if Pita tried to run. They tried again and again, until Pita walked calmly with Mihia holding Robert on her back. Daddy said he will ride her when she is big enough to hold him.
Jennifer is having problems with her muscle in her leg. She has trouble standing up from a chair. Daddy says she probably just strained her muscle playing or jumping. We are praying for her.
Robert is still reading Huckleberry Finn.
Jennifer is reading Old Yeller.
Tracy is reading Farmer Boy (by Laura Ingalls).
It is windy and cold here today. It has been getting cold at night. The men are pouring concrete around the root cellar. They are almost finished!
Well, so long until next time!
